This recipe is as simple as it sounds… imagine the blessedness of caramel on baked fries; yeah, wake up!>> and smell. Don’t let it burn! Get it out of the oven now!!!

Let’s make this happen straight up!

Chips a pack
Caramel 1
Salt 1 tsp
Black Pepper
powdered
1 tbsp
Ginger and garlic
powdered
1 tsp
Step 1

Arrange chipped potatoes on an oven tray.

Step 2

Mix ginger, garlic, salt, black pepper and caramel in a bowl.

Step 3

Generously pour the mixture all over the unbaked chips and put in the fridge for 5 minutes. Then put in the oven and cook on medium heat. The smell and taste will take You away!

Here goes my food accompaniment of all time being a meal all by itself; haha and in all of its glory! This recipe is to upgrade one of my faithful food lovers- Boli! Boli, which is the Yoruba name for roasted plantain is my favourite way to eat plantain; but then the sound of  boli burger is one of the best things ever! Trust Me…  My love for plantain cannot dwindle. In fact, I should make a solemn vow…lol

Here’s to upgrading Boli!

INGREDIENTS4 Servings
Plantain
Big and ripe
4
Sausage
Desired
Fresh tomatoes
Sliced; for dressing
1 big
Green Pepper
Few slices
Step 1

Cut into one-third parallel into the circumference of plantain from an edge. Do this for all four.

Step 2

Arrange them on the oven rack parallel to each other. Insert sausage in the cut through. You can use short skewers to the sausage in place in case they try to slide out during the oven time.

Step 3

Heat in the oven for 30 mins at 250C; or depending on how intense the heat of your oven is.

Step 4

Bring out the rack. Slice into the sausage with a knife; be carefully because of the heat. Then insert tomatoes and peppers and top with ketchup or dress as desired; you can add cheese too- it’s really lovely!

Man dumps wife, six children after 46 years of marriage

The Marriage between a Professor of Library and Information Science, Professor Benki S. H. Womboh, of Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola, and his wife, Mrs. Grace Ayoo of Nbakaayan kuduv district of Buruku Local Government Area in Benue State has hit the rocks after 46 years over alleged threat to life and infidelity.

The Librarian described his marriage with his 55 years old wife as a bitter experience full of ups and downs, saying that she inflicted untold pains on him, reasons for which he is setting her aside, together with their six children.

Womboh, 67, brought the marriage to an end through an Oath of Affidavit, which he took in a Federal High Court, sitting in Yola, disowning both wife and children, stressing that he was fed up with the marriage. He cites threat to life and many years of unfaithfulness as reasons for his action, adding that “there is no longer love in the marriage.’’

He further told the court that he had tried several times to reconcile their differences, but all his efforts have proved abortive.

“There were several attempts to hold reconciliation meeting with Grace Ayoo, her children and family members, but all to no avail. Even a meeting convened at the instance of her pastor at NKST Akaajime was rebuffed,’’ he noted.

In the affidavit, Professor Womboh said that out of sympathy and his friendship to late Pastor Jacob Ayoo, he joined in wedlock with Grace Ayoo in August 1969 at Makurdi.

Womboh further said thathis wife had given away the six children of the marriage, keeping only one boy for him, who he claims is a legal practitioner in Makurdi, Benue State.

“Grace Ayoo took away six girls and one boy, and swore they were not my children. And to make matters worse, she married a securityman from the then Benue Cement Company (now Dangote Cement Company) and sued me for divorce at a magistrate court in Makurdi.

“The court case was struck out because the man she married died, and she stopped coming to court.

“But as a result of Grace Ayoo deserting the marriage at various times, I had to marry three other wives “in succession”, which means that as any of them left, he had to marry another one, because ‘I do not want to be a bachelor at any point in time’.

“When Grace Ayoo was brought back in 1999, she refused to recognise these three wives and their four children. On June 9, 2014, she invited me to her residence at Gboko, and dictated new marital terms as follows: ‘Drive away the other three wives,’ and failure to comply, she vowed to take away the six children from me and give them to her elder brother, Mr. Atile Ayoo, to be their father, just as she threatened to organise people to assassinate me, drive away the three wives and their children, and take all of my property.’’

A nurse, Kausarat Bakare has told an Ikorodu customary court in Lagos State, that she left her husband because her father- in-law made sexual advances at her.

Kausara, 28, made the allegation while testifying in a divorce petition brought by her husband, Qudus Bakare, seeking dissolution of the marriage.

She said that she left her husband in order to sustain the marriage, stressing that “I do not want a divorce. I want the court to save my two-year childless marriage.

“I lost my child while giving birth, since then, I have not been able to conceive, and my husband’s father usually gives me soap to wash my private part.

“My father-in-law was always comes around when my husband was not at home and always telling me to sit on his lap.

“I reported the matter to my uncle who advised me to stop using the soap, I also intended to tell my husband what was happening.

“I was afraid because my husband is dating our neighbour’s daughter; I suspect he wants to marry her.’’

Bakare, however, urged the court to dissolve the marriage, saying that his wife was troublesome and had deserted him.

“My wife left home in April 2014; I do not know what prompted her action because I was taking care of her”.

The matter was adjourned till September 19 for mention.

There is an easy way to check if you are drinking enough water: look at the colour of your urine; the lighter the colour, the better.

#1. First Hold the volume up and volume down button together and then press the power button (Hold the three buttons continuously till the phone boots to the recoverymode pathway).

5. Knocking of the touchscreen.

FIRST STOREY BUILDING IN NIGERIA

Going down the history lane, the foundation of the first storey building in Nigeria was laid in 1842 and the house was completed in 1845 in Badagry, Lagos State. 

History has it that the ancient structure was erected by Reverend Henry Townsend of the Church Missionary Society (CMS).

The structure was occupied by Samuel Ajayi Crowther, the first African C.M.S Bishop when he undertook the translation of the Holy Bible from English to Yoruba. It was also used as Vicarage for saint Thomas Anglican church.

Google is rolling out free wifi in New York as part of a trial the company hopes will eventually span across the whole of the world.

The internet giant has even gone as far as to set up a company specifically dedicated to the task, called Sidewalk Labs.

How will they do this you ask – through turning 10,000 of the big apple’s old phone booths into ad-supported ‘Wi-Fi pylons’.

These converted booths are also intended to provide cell-phone charging, free domestic phone calls and a touch screen information hub about the city and transit directions.

According to Bloomberg News, these ‘pylons’ will be rolled out across New York this autumn.

At the interview to fill the vacancy of a Field Engineer in a multinational oil company, two competent and qualified Engineers were short listed and the company was to decide on who to retain and who to show the red card.

They asked them If they could drive and they both answered in the affirmative even though only one of them could drive.

The Head of the Human Resources spearheading the interview cum pruning session then handed his car keys
to them to prove their driving skills within the premises.

The over-confident applicant collected the car key, opened the car, switched on the ignition, lighted it up, sped off, swirled, swerved and made some stunts on wheels before parking the car on the same spot to the seeming rousing applause and mischievously knowing
smile of the interviewers.

The other applicant who could not drive collected the key all the same, opened the car, opened the bonnet, checked the engine oil level, the brake fluid level, the gear oil level and the water in the radiator level.

As he closed the bonnet, the chief interviewer walked towards him and said:
"Don't bother driving, you've just been hired!"

Precaution is more powerful than expertise!

While A Man Was Polishing His New Car?

While a man was polishing his new car, his 6 year old son picked up a stone and scratched lines on the side of the car. In anger, the man took the child's hand and hit it many times; not realizing he was using a wrench.

At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures. When the child saw his father.....with painful eyes he asked, 'Dad when will my fingers grow back?' The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times. Devastated by his own actions.......sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches; the child had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'.

The next day that man committed suicide. . .Anger and Love have no limits; choose the latter to have a beautiful, lovely life..... Things are to be used and people are to be loved. But the problem in today's world is that, People are used and things are loved.... In this year, let's be careful to keep this thought in mind: Things are to be used, but People are to be loved.

Most times when we walk into big malls, boutiques, supermarkets, we never question their prices. We pay exactly what we see on the price tags and even hand out tips to the staff. The moment we are out of these shops and want to buy banana, our bargaining game gets off to the roof.
A poor widow with 12 hungry children at home tells you banana is N100. She even takes out her time to explain how difficult it was for her to even buy it and how bad the economy is. We still insist on paying N50 for it. Some of us even step back into our cars to drive away. Because 'half bread is better than chin chin', this woman is forced to call you back and sell to you at little or no gain. In her heart, she cries, she's worried about how she'll survive with her children. She silently reassures herself that 'It's well and that God will definitely provide' while you happily eat the luscious banana.

I am a big fan of mobile gadgets and I get to explore lot of apps on daily basis. Even though, there are lot of advanced browser apps, I still can’t understand my addiction to Opera.

Either it’s because it strips pages of too much functionalities and makes browsing faster or because it doesn’t consume much data like high end browser does. Even though those reasons are acceptable, the fact that I can bookmark a site on Operamini and visit it when I intend to use it on Opera for PC is what has kept my addition.

What this means is that you no longer need to remember website URLs or type them on Opera for PC anymore as you can easily access your bookmarks once you have synchronized it.

How to Synchronize Your Bookmarks on Opera

• Launch opera mini and click the menu options. Navigate to “Settings” and toggle on the “Opera link” switch.

• You will be asked to login or create a new account. Simply input your email and password and you are good to go.

• Bookmark your favorite website URLs. You can even create folders for each category of sites you visit.

• Launch Opera on your PC and you will find a small “love icon” besides the search bar. Click on it and input the details you used in registering on opera mini.

• Once it is successful, the love icon will indicate a green color.

Now you have successfully synchronized your bookmarks and as such you can now visit your bookmarked websites on PC without having to re-enter the address again.

Man-head-swell-into-size-of-a-BALLOON-after-mosquito-biteA single mosquito bite has caused a man’s entire face to swell up like a balloon.Mr Zhang, 30, was bitten by a mosquito while at work in Jiangsu province, eastern China, at the end of May.

 
Soon his entire face became so swollen that he could barely open his eyes, but the swelling still has not gone down two months later.

Doctors say the swelling is entirely down to the bite and there is no particular treatment except for using ice on his face.

Mr Zhang suffered a high fever on 15 June but has had no other complications apart from the facial swelling.

Dai Tao, a director at the Luoyang Oriental Hospital, said: ‘His condition is extremely rare. Other than the swelling in the face, nothing else seems to be wrong.’

The doctor added that the swelling was Mr Zhang’s immune system reacting to the mosquito bite, which may have been more poisonous than regular bites.

Lymph nodes on the face and the neck have been blamed for causing the abnormal size of the swelling.

Mr Zhang has been dismissed from his job for taking time off work to receive medical treatment.

He is now resting at home, but is expected to require further treatment from specialists.

BEWARE OF SMOKER

In human biology class i got to hold a preserved human lung from a non smoker.

It was hard, full and heavy while still being red in colour.

I also got to hold a 5year smokers lung.
It was black and green.
It was soft and spongy with holes in it.

This was enough to turn me off smoking for life.
