After anthropologist Susan McKinley came
back home from an expedition in South
America , she noticed a very strange rash
on her left breast. Nobody knew what it
was and she quickly dismissed it believing
that the holes would leave within a short
time.

Upon her return, she decided to see a
doctor after she started developing intense
pains. The doctor, not knowing the exact
severity of the disease, gave her antibiotics
and special creams. As time lapsed the pain
did not subside and her left breast became
more inflamed and started to bleed...

She decided to bandage her sores, however
as Susan's pain grew more intense she
decided to seek help from a more certified
doctor. Dr. Lynch could not diagnose the
infection and told Susan to seek the aid of
one of his colleagues who specialized in
dermatology whom was sadly on vacation.
She waited for two weeks and finally was
able to reach the dermatologist.

Sadly, a life-changing event was about to
unfold during her appointment.

To Miss McKinley's surprise, after she
removed the bandages, they found larva
growing and squirming within the pores
and sores of her breast.

Sometimes these wicked creatures would all
together simultaneously move around into
different crevices. What she didn't know
was that the holes were in fact, deeper
than she had originally thought for these
larvae were feeding off the fat, tissue, and
even milk canals of her bosom.

The root of the problem was eventually
discovered to be the effect of parasites
from the newly acquired bra she wore
immediately before she travelled.

Please mumies & Daddy's in the house advice me correctly.

Please mumies & Daddy's in the house advice me correctly.

My husband's younger sister came to my house for holiday but before she came my husband told me i should be listening to them when they are speaking their language because we are not from the same tribe so i can learn. I asked "this language I've been asking you to teach me thats what you want me to learn from your sister". I didn't argue. When the girl came they were speaking their language even when three of us are together. I didnt complain but the one that annoyed me most is if she needs anything, she will go and tell my husband.

One sunday we came back from church, after cooking i dished food for everybody when i came out i felt d food wont be enough for her so i asked her to go and take more, she didnt hear me. When she eventually finished she then told her brother in their language that the food was not enough for her instead of me and her brother said "go and take". i felt bad but i didnt complain.

Recently she fixed weavon when she was coming, she had barely stayed two weeks, when she asked me for razor i asked her what she was doing with it, she said her hair is itching her and that she would want to loosen it.

I told her that her hair was still good and besides i didn't have money now for her hair - believe me i was not very bouyant becos i lost my job and my husband made a huge expense, even my own hair was not made. After talking to her at nite she went ahead to loose the hair, so on monday morning we went out together and we saw one of their sisters and they started to speak their language but i didnt care much until I got home and my husband was asking me how much it cost to retorch hair i told him and then he said cos my sister wants to go and retorch her hair.

I was mad. Is she suppose to tell that to her brother or me. She is making me angry and other things, this is somebody that even if she sees my baby entering fire it does not concern her. What do i do at this point.

21 Business Skill Needed to Succeed

21 Business Skills Needed to Succeed

The greatest people in business have certain attributes in common. Several personal qualities are important, like a thirst for continuous education, personal drive and motivation, strong goals and ambition, clear vision, and always a great deal of passion.
Beyond those personal qualities though, what makes a successful business person stand out from the crowd?

Here are 21 business skills you need if you want to get ahead:

Communication
1. Written - Most people in business spend a lot of time communicating in writing. While the inter-office memo and the fax are old hat, you will spend a good few hours a day fighting your inbox. Add to this reports, white papers, proposals and resumes, it's certain you will need to sharpen your word power to succeed.

2. Social Networking – We are not all social gadflys, some of us struggle to make small talk. It is a key skill to learn though, it is true what they say, sometimes it is more who you know than what!

3. Speaking – Public speaking ranks high amongst the worlds most popular fears. You must overcome it and the best way is to practice. It might feel more comfortable working from the safety of your desk but at some point you are going to have to present. Better to have some experience under your belt before being forced to perform unprepared when it really counts.

4. Sales – You might think you do not need to sell but we all sell every day. From even before your first day you will be selling, starting at your interview all the way to asking the boss for a raise. In normal life we sell, persuading your partner that you really need that new purchase, getting out of that parking ticket … persuasion skills can come in very handy indeed.

5. Negotiation – If you can't sell perhaps you can negotiate. A lot of the skills are the same but you will find people who have been in business for a while can drive a hard bargain. If you do not have the skills you will lose out each and every time.

Planning
1. Strategic – A business that lurches from one crisis to another is not going to stay around very long. Obviously if you are in charge then you have to set the marching orders. Can you clearly see the road ahead?

2. Project – I know many people in business who see their role as the hot headed maverick that shoots from the hip and flies from the seat of their pants. Unfortunately most of them eventually crash and burn. Project management makes your life and that of your team less stressful and gets things done on time and on budget. It might not be the white knuckle ride that some enjoy but at least you will be able to clock off at a reasonable hour!

3. Financial – The top reason why businesses go out of business is bad financial planning. All the cash flows in the wrong direction. Having worked through the dotcom boom and bust I have seen first hand what too big a budget in the wrong hands can do. Someone needs a firm grip on the numbers and it had better be you otherwise someone might just take a trip to a tropical island at your expense.

4. Risk – I'm a natural worrier which though it annoys my wife, does have the advantage in business that I tend to see the potential potholes and bear traps in any plan. If you can imagine a risk you can set about to mitigate it.

5. Logistics – Money is just one resource you need. Any business has inputs and outputs. You need to have the right people in the right jobs with what they need when they need it to get their work done. Logistics might not put you on the cover of Time magazine but it could make you a hero in your office.

Productivity
1. Time management – I once had a boss who could never get to a single meeting on time. He would always turn up ten minutes late, red-faced, unprepared, looking like he had slept in a bush. He had a growing collection of speeding tickets and a bigger collection of excuses and apologies. Time management reduces stress and increases your respect.

2. Meeting management - Most of us hate meeting but they are a fact of business life. There are always the few who love them as a way to avoid real work. There are many tricks from firmly sticking to the agenda through to holding meetings standing up just before lunch. Whatever works for you if you can get meetings to be productive and under control you will get ahead.

3. Leadership – In the Dilbert universe leadership might be something you step in, but in business it really helps to be able to take the lead. Can you get people to follow you? Are you able to get people to do things they don't want to do for the good of the team?

4. Systems – If you are repeatedly re-inventing the wheel there is something seriously wrong. Effective systems bring consistency, efficiency and reduced costs. Learning how to create and implement both human and automated systems can go a long way to being more competitive.

5. Personal Productivity – What are your rhythms, when are you more sociable, detail-oriented, creative or lacking energy? Where do you excel and which areas are a struggle? Before you can lead anyone else you need to work out how to get the best out of yourself.

Creativity
1. Imagination – Many people neglect their creative side feeling that it is better to be all about the logic, but in fact some of the most successful business people are also the most imaginative.

2. Inventiveness – If you can imagine it you can create it, and if you create it then you can sell it! Look around you, think of the things you buy and use, someone had to have the idea before it was built and sold to you. You might be surprised how few mad inventors there are, more products are invented in a marketing office than a garage.

3. Problem Solving – A big part of surviving in business is about solving problems fast and effectively. An employee who is good at keeping their head in a crisis while fighting fires is a worthwhile asset to any business.

4. Brainstorming – Some people think brainstorming is all about having stupid ideas while ridiculing the contributions of everyone else while drinking coffee, eating cookies and flirting with the secretary from floor 2. Perhaps this is why brainstorms get a bad name? If you can brainstorm great ideas, fast then you will be one step ahead.

5. Making connections - Some of the best ideas have simply been about connecting two otherwise unconnected ideas together. Could you invent the next iPhone?
I am sure the sharp-eyed amongst you have noticed there are only 20 points in this list. What is number 21? Perhaps the most important skill of all; the ability to switch off! It is so easy for the stresses and strains of business life to burn people out so you must develop the ability to relax and unwind.

9 Things that Motivate Employees Other Than Pay

9 Things that Motivate Employees Other Than Pay

The ability to motivate employees is one of the greatest skills an entrepreneur can possess. Two years ago, I realized I didn't have this skill. So I hired a CEO who did.

Josh had 12 years in the corporate world, which included running a major department at Comcast. I knew he was seasoned, but I was still skeptical at first. We were going through some tough growing pains, and I thought that a lack of cash would make it extremely difficult to improve the company morale.

I was wrong with his help and the help of the great team leaders he put in place, Josh not only rebuilt the culture, but also created a passionate, hard-working team that is as committed to growing and improving the company as I am.

Here are nine things I learned from him:
Be generous with praise. Everyone wants it and it's one of the easiest things to give. Plus, praise from the CEO goes a lot farther than you might think. Praise every improvement that you see your team members make. Once you're comfortable delivering praise one-on-one to an employee, try praising them in front of others.

Get rid of the managers. Projects without project managers? That doesn't seem right! Try it. Removing the project lead or supervisor and empowering your staff to work together as a team rather then everyone reporting to one individual can do wonders. Think about it. What's worse than letting your supervisor down? Letting your team down! Allowing people to work together as a team, on an equal level with their co-workers, will often produce better projects faster. People will come in early, stay late, and devote more of their energy to solving problems.

Make your ideas theirs. People hate being told what to do. Instead of telling people what you want done; ask them in a way that will make them feel like they came up with the idea. "I'd like you to do it this way" turns into "Do you think it's a good idea if we do it this way?"

Never criticize or correct. No one, and I mean no one, wants to hear that they did something wrong. If you're looking for a de-motivator, this is it. Try an indirect approach to get people to improve, learn from their mistakes, and fix them. Ask, "Was that the best way to approach the problem? Why not? Have any ideas on what you could have done differently?" Then you're having a conversation and talking through solutions, not pointing a finger.

Make everyone a leader. Highlight your top performers' strengths and let them know that because of their excellence, you want them to be the example for others. You'll set the bar high and they'll be motivated to live up to their reputation as a leader.

Take an employee to lunch once a week. Surprise them. Don't make an announcement that you're establishing a new policy. Literally walk up to one of your employees, and invite them to lunch with you. It's an easy way to remind them that you notice and appreciate their work.

Give recognition and small rewards. These two things come in many forms: Give a shout out to someone in a company meeting for what she has accomplished. Run contests or internal games and keep track of the results on a whiteboard that everyone can see. Tangible awards that don't break the bank can work too. Try things like dinner, trophies, spa services, and plaques.

Throw company parties. Doing things as a group can go a long way. Have a company picnic. Organize birthday parties. Hold a happy hour. Don't just wait until the holidays to do a company activity; organize events throughout the year to remind your staff that you're all in it together.

Share the rewards—and the pain. When your company does well, celebrate. This is the best time to let everyone know that you're thankful for their hard work. Go out of your way to show how far you will go when people help your company succeed. If there are disappointments, share those too.

If you expect high performance, your team deserves to know where the company stands. Be honest and transparent.
