Now as a parent, you can set the specific time limit you want your children to access the computer with parental control feature on Mac. This is a good way of making sure your children don’t spend all of their time on the computer.

How To Set Time Limit For Your Children on Mac

1. First set up a parent controlled account for your child.

2. Click Apple logo and choose system preferences from the menu displayed.

3. Select “parental control” from the list of options. (It’s a yellow icon)

4. Once a parent controlled account has been created, it will be listed in the left column.

5. Click the yellow lock icon at the bottom of your screen to unlock the settings using your account password.

6. Select the parental controlled account and click on time limit tab.

7. OS X Yosemite gives you option to set time limits for weekdays and weekends as well as prevent access to the computer during a specified time.

8. Click the check box to activate any option you wish to make use of and set the time limit with the aid of the slider.

9. Exit the preferences window and you have now successfully set the limit for a parental controlled account.
